It begins! 24-7 Prayer for Spring 2014

We are finally here, at the end of long months of planning and anticipation: the spring 24/7 prayer room begins tonight at 6pm and will continue through the week, ending next Sunday at 6pm. Every hour of the day or night this week, without ceasing, people from various denominations across Greensboro will gather at this little prayer room on Smith and Greene to encounter God and intercede for one another.

In a creative space inspired by the words of Christ from the Sermon on the Mount, this next week we will watch the room fill with art constructed from paper, fabric, yarn, or glass that will reflect petitions and thanksgivings, confessions and adorations. And we will witness people who were once strangers reaching out to pray for one another as their words, requests, and prayer art intermingle to create something new, beautiful, interconnected.

Like all of our events, this week is a commitment to keeping prayer going in our city 24/7 for 7 days. During this time, our hope is for the people of Greensboro to experience spiritual refreshment, connectivity with one another, and a renewed passion for prayer. We hope that you will join us at the prayer room this week by coming by during open hours or signing up for a private hour of prayer.

The 24-7 Greensboro Board has been planning and praying for this event for the past four months, and it is our great pleasure to open up this space that has become dear to us to the city that we love. We hope that you are blessed and encouraged as you take part in this experience of quiet, restorative creativity and prayer as together we lift up one another, Greensboro, and the world to the God who Hears.
